Liverpool - official European Capital of Culture 2008!! Wow - what an amazing place! Liverpool has been a great place to be for most of its' existence. The old major trading seaport meant that it had an exciting way about it that led to loads of people from everywhere setlling there. The traditional 'Scouser' is world famous, but so are the rest of the Liverpudlians (What is a Liverpudlian? - an Irishman who can swim!!) Now a completely reborn city with so much happening there - home of the Beatles, and so much of the cool music, art and poetry of the last few decades. Not surprising that the mightlife is legendary - what a place for a night out or weekend away. And around it, loads of things to do in the day. Give yourself a wow weekend - go to Lverpool!!
